As the Hawaiian State Bird, the Nene is a beautiful and rare site. This goose, endemic to the islands of Hawaii can be spotted in the wilds of Maui as well the other Hawaiian Islands. Listen for it's soft call in the wild and make sure, as with all wildlife, that you keep a respectful distance.
